Come join me on the deck for a quiet moment accented with some lovely old pieces. I started with a beautiful tablecloth on clearance from Macy's. Please forgive me for not ironing it.
Crystal water glasses are Dublin by Shannon. The wine glasses are also Shannon, but I don't know the pattern name. They were a gift from a dear friend.
The placemats and napkins were a gift from my MIL. She bought them in Austria years ago and she was so generous to gift them to me. The dishes were also a Christmas surprise from my MIL. You can read about that HERE. They are 1940 Bavarian and the pattern is Wild Flower.
The silver plate flatware comes from a set that my sweet husband brought home when a client was going throw them away. He grabbed them with plans them to use for target practice! I rescued them as soon as I saw them. The pattern is Fashion Lane by Alvin.
The candle sticks are from French Bleu Vintage. It's one of my favorite places to browse.
The vase is from the Queen of Hearts in Atlanta. The blooms are Endless Summer hydrangeas.
I realized while a was running trying to take photos between the bright sun and the clouds, that I had forgotten the blue birds so I added them for the last few shots. I so appreciate your visit and comments. Thanks for joining me, I will be joining the following parties:

ReplyDeleteYippee!! You're back! Target practice??!??!! What the what?!??!! I would never think to use flatware for target practice!!! That's pretty funny. Wouldn't have been very funny if he had already started blowing them to bits before you discovered them, though! :-) Very pretty setting, and I love, love, love, love, love those hydrangea!!!!!!! They are just the prettiest shade of blue, and I like the way they are arranged in that beautiful vase. Very nice!!!! Have a wonderful afternoon!!!

First of all, thank goodness you rescued the flatware! It is lovely and deserves to be shown off like this. I love your candlesticks. How wonderful to have these special treasures from your mother-in-law. I love your hydrangeas. They aren't supposed to grow here but I am having a little success in pots on my patio. I don't have enough blooms to cut but so happy to have them. Your little blue birds are so sweet.

ReplyDeleteWhat a simply elegant table! I love the way it all seems to belong together, even though there were many different sources. I am glad to hear that I'm not the only one who forgets things so they only show up in the last photos! Thank you for sharing this very pretty table!

ReplyDeleteHi Dianne,
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful table! I really like your Bavarian china; we have some at our house, and it's hard to beat for it's delicate beauty, isn't it? What a sweet gift from your MIL. I love your white tablecloth and napkins, the rescued silverplate, and the lovely crystal. But my favorite thing on the table is the gorgeous vase and your Endless Summer Hydrangea blossoms. I've just got to plant some of those. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Denise
