My MIL has the most beautiful tree. It is covered in lights, ribbon, and large hand blown glass ornaments. They are clear and a little hard to see.
Some of the ornaments are enormous, 9-10" diameter and others are small. The tree sparkles from the light reflecting in the glass. Simple, but so very elegant.
Just wanted to show off the range of my new camera! This was taken from 15 feet away using the awesome zoom. Her beautiful dining room. It wasn't quite ready for showtime, no flatware, no glassware, but I had to get some shots while I was there.
I just loved this beautiful, hand carved, wooden angel. The beautiful details just blew me away.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

Dianne, your header picture is absolutely enchanting and stunning. I had to take several looks at it. Your MIL's tree is so beautiful, those glass balls give the tree such sparkle and mystery. Joni

Wow...your Mother-in-law is quite the tasteful lady!!! Please tell her the nut case in Missouri sends her kudos and hats off!!! I LOVE that tree!!! It's like somebody just turned on the Lawrence Welk bubble machine in there! It's beautiful!!! I'm conjuring up visions of MY tree next year with a little of this idea in my head!!! :-) COOL camera! Maybe someday I'll get a professional one. (Hear that, Dr. Nichols??!?!?)
