Celebrating Easter

I hoped to get this posted before Easter, but with the theft of both of my cameras, (you can read about that disaster HERE) I had to wait until  a replacement arrived.  My son came for Easter dinner and took additional pictures with his camera.  You will probably notice that my son takes much better photos than I do!

It was time to pull out the Alfred Meaken Medway China found in Atlanta at The Classy Flea several years ago.  The delicate runner and woven placements are from Home Goods.
Glassware is Cindy Crawford from OPT and the lanterns are from Pier 1.

Cute vintage bunnies are from Queen of Hearts in Atlanta.

Twine ribbon from Micheals wrapped around a chippy wire pot holder from The Classy Flea holding some herbs and a Rabbit's Foot Fern in honor of the holiday.

Sedums slated for our rock wall, made a pit stop on the side table.

My Orchid that blooms regluarly every March.
My son started his photo taking with Punkin, who chose to survey all the Easter goings-on from the his comfy perch.  He took the rest of the photos in this post.

My son became obsessed with capturing the blue hour reflected in the plates.  I spared you the 20 other shots of the same thing.
Carved geese from the Queen of Hearts.  I just love how he captured them against the window and the blue light.  I also love how the bay tree in background blends with the outside trees making it hard to tell if it's inside or out.

I hope your Easter was as blessed as mine, surrounded by my family.

  3. Dianne, so glad you took photos to share this table setting. Gorgeous! I'm envious of your china. Love the combination of brown and white when used on china. That's what we chose for our wedding china, and I pick up pieces of brown and white transfer ware when I find them. Brought home a sweet cow creamer in the Charlotte pattern today from my trip to Marburger Antique Market. ;-)

  7. Your son ROCKED these photos!!! I have almost never been able to catch that elusive blue hour, and certainly never like this! I love the way the blue reflects on the table!!! That one photo that shows the blue flutes in the vitrine...so cool how they look across from the outside! I adore that china...one of the prettiest floral patterns I have ever seen. It's great that you're able to get that orchid to bloom every year! I would just LOOK at one and kill it! :-( The geese add a lighthearted touch to the table, and I really like those lanterns!!! They're the perfect size, and I like how they are vented at the top. The venting looks lacy like the runner. As always, you have done a really great job of extending your centerpiece down the length of the table. It just looks fabulous, dahling! (Pinky upturned for emphasis!)

Have a wonderful weekend, and please tell your son his photography is greatly admired from both near and afar!
