A Litte Bit of Shopping!

When I see something I can use for a table, I buy it, even if I don't have plans to use it now.  Eventually it will come into to play.
Two weeks ago I had surgery to remove a plate in my foot that was needed to repair a stress fracture that refused to heal.  After four years of constant pain, I was finally convinced to go through surgery again to have the plate removed.  It looks way better now.  For two weeks I could barely walk without pain and swelling, but today.....  I was finally able to get a out a little.  Just wanted to share some of my finds.

Saw this Johnson Brothers Indian Tree set, on an estate sale website two weeks ago and knew I had to be healed enough to get there. I went Friday, it was totally overpriced, but I placed a bid for about 40% of the asking price and was pleased when I got the call this morning telling me they accepted.

One estate sale and one trip to Home Goods and that's it.   I am not completely back to normal and can only spend a couple of hours on my feet without extreme swelling, but I can't wait to figure out how to use my newest supplies.

  1. Oh my those dishes are just so so pretty, so many pieces to work with and I love that there are a lot of different colors in the plate...the outside edge almost looks like that greek key pattern that is all the rage...I love them...Phyllis

  4. Ouch! That looks like it was very painful, Dianne! I always find that some "retail therapy" helps. LOL

You did great with all your finds...love that little birdie on top of the cloche. The dishes are beautiful, too. Nice snag!

  7. Estate sales are one of my favorite places to junk! Of course, china is not junk. Hate to think what your foot looked like before. Bless your heart! I have a similar cloche for Suzanne! As for your question about the house on my post, on my blog....the train house was a house that sits on the golf course. The house is privately owned. There are many beautiful homes. Get that foot well...it has lots of walking to do in Ocotober!
