Daffodowndilly

“She turned to the sunlight
    And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
    "Winter is dead.”

Daffodils, that come before the swallow dares, and take the winds of March with beauty.(Shakespeare)
A daffodil bulb will divide and redivide endlessly. That's why, like the peony, it is one of the few flowers you can find around abandoned farmhouses, still blooming and increasing in numbers fifty years after the farmer and his wife have moved to heaven, or the other place, Boca Raton.(Ms Greenthumbs)

Daffodils are yellow trumpets of spring(Richard Ratliff)

A house with daffodils in it is a house lit up,
whether or no the sun be shining outside.
(AA Milne)
