Red, White & Blue & New

Happy 4th!  Is red, white, and blue appealing b/c the colors just go so well together, or it is b/c of the emotional response that comes from being raised in the USA?  Doesn't matter, I love red, white and blue.

The New

We I decided that the brown seat covers on the barstools needed to be brightened up, but I could never find the right fabric in the colors I wanted.  A spur of the moment decision to visit the fabric store again, and I found the perfect fabric. 

 The fabric has all the colors of my kitchen and the plaid was just the right size.  Hard to tell from the photos b/c the passing storm darken the room, but the new fabric really brightens up the island.
