Red, White & Blue & New

Happy 4th!  Is red, white, and blue appealing b/c the colors just go so well together, or it is b/c of the emotional response that comes from being raised in the USA?  Doesn't matter, I love red, white and blue.

This is what happens when the grillmaster decides he is going to eat his salad before going to check on the zucchini!  
The New
We I decided that the brown seat covers on the barstools needed to be brightened up, but I could never find the right fabric in the colors I wanted.  A spur of the moment decision to visit the fabric store again, and I found the perfect fabric. 



 The fabric has all the colors of my kitchen and the plaid was just the right size.  Hard to tell from the photos b/c the passing storm darken the room, but the new fabric really brightens up the island.

    Oh, my gosh YES!!!!!!!! That plaid is PERFECT!!!!! Now you have my mind churning with how I might refresh our basement level barstools! I love that plaid!!! Well done! Poor hubby...he was just hungry! I can’t be mad at him because I understand. Still...TIMER, man!!! The food looked fabulous otherwise! I’m still just so proud of the way you guys have created an oasis!

    Your table and menu are wonderful, Dianne! You surely did find the perfect plaid for your barstools. Too bad about the zucchini, but it happens to the best of us. I recently did that to my grilled pizza, but we ate it anyway!

    Oh my dear friend, you outdid yourself. What an amazing Red White and Blue table, it is gorgeous! I adore your big and cozy dining room. The rest is lovely too and the food is awesome !

    The table looks fabulous! I love what you did to include your chandelier. I really need to get a better (read: not butt ugly) light fixture. The contractor's model that was in the house when I bought it is just not doing it for me.
