We had our traditional menu of smoked pork shoulder, potato salad, baked beans, cornbread, green beans and banana pudding. It was delicious!
On the porch, we updated the comfy area with a new rug and two new swivel rocking chairs.
The other side, is the eating area of the porch.
The table is all set for the pizza party.
Homemade pizza is so much better than store bought!

Hey there, busy bee! You should be in traction from all that cooking and decorating in such a short span of time! I’m laying here in bed and feeling so much hunger, but I’m too tired (should that word be spelled l-a-z-y?🤔) to go down to cook this morning. Pork shoulder sounds great! I know there’s not one in the freezer, so I’ll be on the lookout for a bargain price at the grocery store next week. Gotta get my grill on!!!😋 I love those rosette fans as table decor!!! They add color, pattern variety, form, AND texture!! That was a terrific idea. Do NOT be surprised if you see a copycat version show up on my blog this summer! I really like the way you cinched the pleated napkins to mimic the rosettes, too. The knotted napkins on the 2nd table are a hit, too! With pizza as the main course, I’d call those napkins “garlic knots”!!!🙃 I’m in love with the red and white checked placemats!!! I’ve not spied any locally, but if I were to you can bet I’d snatch ‘em up! I be got to stop shopping online...it’s getting me in trouble!!! Lovely tables, great food (because they work best hand-in-hand!), and good memories for you guys. Can’t beat it with a stick, as my Grandmother used to say!😁 Have a relaxing Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThis all looks so festive and inviting! I am sure the food was fabulous, too. Don't you just love your porch? Screen porches are the best idea anyone ever came up with. I actually have wondered where they originated. Maybe I will make it a project to find out! Meantime, I think you should show us the FOOD too when you do these fabulous posts. How about it?
ReplyDeleteI totally love your porch, it's awesome ! Your setting is gorgeous as is the food you mention. Wish I could see it, on the other hand not, I'd be craving it, lol..

I am so envious of your indoor table that seats 10. How wonderful! And how beautiful and patriotic they both are. I seldom set any type of patriotic table because I struggle to find something that will work. I hope to be inspired by this post. I would love to be able to dine outdoors, but our oppressive heat came a month early this year. Yes, I AM whining.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tablescape! I adore your porch!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!! That tornado came too close for comfort!
Hugs,
Debbie
