Just Trying To Catch Up!

I know everyone is posting Christmas tables, but I have been struggling to get my Thanksgiving table posted for a week!  I ran out of storage space and had to decide what to do.  Obviously Google won.
My table started with the tablecloth which I purchased on clearance at Home Good last year.
I loved the pattern, but when I got it on the table, I was worried it was a little too busy.  So I kept everything else very simple.

The place mats and matching napkins are from Old Time Pottery.  The chargers are Pottery Barn Bronze metal from a CO thrift store, plates are OTP, as is the Cindy Crawford stemware.  The flatware is Cambridge.

My MIL bought the pheasants at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts gift shop.  I just love them and when they are not on the table, they live on top of one of my china cabinets year round.
I added some dried hydrangeas, some Bradford Pear and Japanese Maple leaves and some fruit.
Candlesticks are from Home Goods and globes are from Ross.

I promise I'm trying to get my Christmas decorations completed.  So far, I have one tree ready and boxes everywhere! Working full-time just takes up too much of my time :)

  12. How clever of you to combine the candlestick and the globe! That is a statement maker and so are the wonderful pheasants! How fun. The pattern was perfect with the table and really set a nice background. Everything was just perfectly done! Isn't it fun to have captured pictures.

We looked and looked for photos of our old tree! I know I never blogged it. I decided it must have been because I could never get any great photos. I am showing some on my before and after and she really does look pretty homely. She was prettier in real life!

  16. Your table is beautiful and I, for one, enjoy seeing a T'giving table about now! I have little or nothing done at the moment, so don't feel alone! Hoping to accomplish a LITTLE bit tomorrow!

  17. Your Thanksgiving table was lovely! I bet your Christmas table will be spectacular! I'm taking my time pulling all the decorations out. The older I get the more memories with each one!

  18. Cindy Crawford has a line of stemware??!??! Where have I been? Geez...I wonder what else I've missed out on! BEAUTIFUL Thanksgiving able, Dianne! You did a fabulous job of tempering the busy pattern of the tablecloth. I like a busy linen on a Thanksgiving table because of the feeling of "bounty." Using the other pared down elements worked out perfectly!!! LOVE those globes!!!

  19. I really like your table. The tablecloth gives me the impression that you've created your design atop a gorgeous bed of new fallen leaves. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Merry Christmas preparations! PS: I'm not finished either, but it will be done by Christmas...actually next week because I'm hosting two luncheons and one the next week. :-0 Cherry Kay
