It may be turning fall in most of the country, but in Round Top, TX it was 107 degrees last week, that wasn't going to stop us. We tromped through the dirt and dust,(and mud one day) from tent to tent, and barn to barn, to find these hidden treasures. It was tablescape inspiration heaven!
Haviland
In the words of Rachel Zoe, "I die!"
The vendor said Limoges, but the price was so steep, I was afraid to pick them up to get anymore information.
I just swooned over these gray Corinthians Harkerware, but several were chipped and there were none to be found on Ebay to replace them so I passed. Now that I am home, they are going to be one of those things I will regret not buying forever!
Dangerous place for a dish collector who can't seem to stop. I will be joining the Tablescaper's Seasonal Sunday and highlighting some of the more funky finds later in the week, so come back and visit again.
What a wonderful place to visit! I am seriously envious of all that ironstone, particularly the gorgeous pitchers. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI may try to go to Roundtop one of these days but it would scare me as I am also a dishaholic! b

Oh goodness, I don't think I could ever go there...the decision making would just be so very difficult! Enjoyed my trip with you!
ReplyDeleteOh, Dianne,
ReplyDeleteYou are making me want to be right back in those fields romping around!!! You have just motivated me to do my calendar work in order to restock my spending money.... Randy mentioned he thought we should plan coming to Florida around the Roundtop shows... he thinks we should check into how much it would cost to rent at The Falls.....he could play golf and we would all be a lot closer to the action!... I want those pitchers and yep....you should have bought the Hocker dishes... I am even wanting them now!

ReplyDeleteGood girl for braving the heat and going to Roundtop. I'm not sure I would have made it. Guess I'll have to limit my excursion to April since I am away from Texas in October.
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to see all the beautiful dishes...just amazing..lobe all the white and love all the pink depression glass..thank you so much for sharing all with us...I am a new follower
ReplyDeleteAn amazing collection of ironstone!!!
ReplyDeleteOk it's fair to say I am a bit jealous! We have nothing like this in New Zealand. The Havilland Table is drool worthy. I love the gold tray in the centre. Actually I want it all. I am in total agreement with you about the gorgeous set you let go...."See it, love it, buy it" that's my mantra! I hate living with regret! Anyhoo, A fantastic post, thanks.
